#256 – Get Outside to Watch the Lunar Eclipse

We will have a total lunar eclipse beginning about 1:30 a.m. EST Tuesday, December 21st which is also the Winter Solstice, something that hasn’t happened in 350 years.  Totality will be about 2:41 a.m. EST and will last a little over an hour.  If you only want to be outside for a few minutes, try to time it so you are watching at 3:17 a.m. when the moon will be in its deepest shadow.  For more information go to this website from NPR or follow one of the links below.
