The County requests that you remove dirt, stones, litter and other debris from leaves, put only leaves in the biodegradable paper leaf bags, and close the bags by folding the top down.  Bags should be placed at the curb by 6:30 am the next business day after your regular trash collection day.

Where to get Recyclable Paper Leaf Bags

Paper leaf bags are available at most hardware stores or are available free while supplies last at select Arlington locations beginning October 21st.  For a list of locations, visit the Arlington County Leaf Collection Website.  Please do not use plastic bags.  The paper bags will be ground along with the leaves to use for mulch.
