The Village at Shirlington will be holding its third annual Restaurant Week from Monday, October 14th through Sunday, October 20th. Many restaurants will be offering a 2 course lunch for $12 and a 3 course dinner for $25.

Capital City Brewing Company’s Oktoberfest 2013 will be held October 5th, 2013.

Northern Virginia’s largest Oktoberfest, featuring more than fifty breweries will be held at The Village at Shirlington on Saturday, October 5th from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  Once gain, Capitol City Brewing company is its annual Mid-Atlantic Oktoberfest with live Alpine folk music, handcrafted beers, and authentic German cuisine local food vendors and Shirlington Village restaurants.

Admission for beer drinkers is $25 (one general admission pass per person), which includes a wristband, official tasting glass and 10 drink tickets. Additional drink tickets can be purchased for $1 each with a five ticket minimum. Beer taps close at 6 PM.  The event is free for non-drinkers and children.

The Oktoberfest will be held rain or shine with a limited number of tickets sold at the event.

Arlington Brewpub Celebrates Fall Tradition with New Oktoberfest Beers SMOKETOBERFEST and DR. PUNKINSTEIN, Authentic German Alpine Music and Delicious Oktoberfest Fare – Featuring more than 50 different breweries!

Fill up a stein and toast to fall. Celebrating 21 years of brewing more than 200 different styles of beer, Capitol City Brewing Company will host its Fourteenth Annual Mid-Atlantic Oktoberfest at The Village at Shirlington in Arlington on Saturday, October 5 from 12:00 noon – 7:00 p.m. (all beer taps close at 6:00 p.m.).

This year, Capitol City will debut two Oktoberfest additions — the Smoketoberfest and Dr. Punkinstein — as well as the popular Oktoberfest Lager. Beer enthusiasts can listen to live Alpine folk music as they sample select handcrafted beers and enjoy authentic German cuisine from a variety of local vendors and Shirlington Village eateries. Capitol City Brewing Company will also serve traditional German favorites including bratwurst, sauerkraut and the signature fresh soft pretzels.

Following a tradition that started in the early 1880s in Munich, Germany, Capitol City’s Oktoberfest is celebrating its fourteenth triumphant year. Thousands of people from the Mid-Atlantic region attend to sample more than 100 different ales and lagers from over 50 local and international breweries.

Feed the Pike

 

The first ever Columbia Pike Restaurant Week will be held February 18, 2013 and runs through February 24th.  More than a dozen Columbia Pike restaurants will be featuring $25 dinners and $10 lunches, including Lost Dog Cafe, Bangkok 54, Taqueria Poblano and Twisted Vines.  For a complete list of participating restaurants and more information, visit the Feed the Pike website.  Organizers hope to make this an annual event.

The Village at Shirlington announces the return of Shirlington Restaurant Week, Monday, October 8 through Sunday, October 14, 2012.  Featuring 16 local restaurants, Shirlington Restaurant Week will offer patrons two-course lunches for $12, three-course dinners for $25 as well as beverage deals from restaurants including Aroma Indian Cuisine, Capital City Brewing Company, PING by Charlie Chiang’s, T.H.A.I. Capital City Brewing Company is hosing it’s annual Oktoberfest Beer Festival at The Village in Shirlington on Saturday, October 6th from 12-7 PM.   More than 50 breweries will be giving out 4 oz samples. There will also be local food vendors, an authentic German band and authentic Oktoberfest food.  Tickets are $25 if you plan to sample the beer, but if not, it is free.  For more details go to the Capital City Oktoberfest website

Enjoy the tastes, sounds, and ambiance of a true N’awlins-style Mardi Gras! Lucy’s ARL in Shirlington is offering VIP packages which allow you to scoop crawfish straight off the table, feast on jambalaya and build your own oyster po’boys.  You can also search for the baby in authentic King Cake, drink frozen concoctions and enjoy the sounds of free flowing horns. They will have bead contests every half-hour so the fun will continue all night long. After hours, enjoy beignets and coffee.  For 2012, this event will be held Saturday, February 18th.
