The Renegade at 3100 Clarendon Boulevard is the beating heart of Arlington’s live music scene — a rock-and-roll restaurant and club that has been bringing local and regional bands to Clarendon seven nights a week since it opened, and built a genuinely devoted community around the experience. Beyond its regular programming, The Renegade serves as a premier venue for private and semi-public events hosting 50 to 400 guests, with a professional stage, full sound and lighting systems, a loft bar, an outdoor patio, 18 TVs, and a full-service kitchen and catering operation. But what sets it apart from a typical event venue is what happens on the regular calendar: live cover bands perform Friday and Saturday nights, Monday nights bring the beloved Latin dance party “Monday Moves” with DJ and live bands plus a salsa class for just $10 cover, and ticketed concerts featuring touring artists fill in the rest of the week throughout the year.

The food program is a genuine surprise — far above what you’d expect from a live music venue. The eclectic menu ranges across Southern, Thai, Korean, Greek, and bar fare  , with standouts including lemongrass beef, Korean chicken, pulled chicken shawarma, and cumin cauliflower that regulars return for as often as the music.
