Enjoy Ice Cream at Van Leeuwen

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, the acclaimed New York City creamery known for its small-batch dairy and vegan ice cream made with simple, premium ingredients, opened its Clarendon location in October 2025 at 2831 Clarendon Blvd — taking over the beloved space that longtime local favorite Nicecream had occupied for over a decade. Founded in 2008 out of a yellow food truck in Manhattan, Van Leeuwen has earned a national following and was voted Best Vanilla Ice Cream by Wirecutter. The brand now has a second Arlington location in National Landing.

The Clarendon shop serves 30 signature flavors including Honeycomb, Peanut Butter Brownie Honeycomb, Brown Sugar Cookie Dough Chunk, and several rotating seasonal options, plus a range of vegan flavors made with coconut milk. Sundaes, milkshakes, floats, house-made waffle cones, and pints to go are all available. Hours are Sunday–Thursday noon–11 p.m., Friday–Saturday noon–midnight.
