Neighborhood Day is Saturday, May 15th
Neighborhood Day is coming up this Saturday May 15th, 2010. Many neighborhoods in Arlington will be hosting special celebrations, yard sales, fitness runs, clean-up events or get togethers. In the Bluemont neighborhood, the US Army Military District of Washington will be performing its Twilight Tattoo in Bluemont Park at 6 PM.
Bromptons Correction Project
The first phase of the Bromptons correction project is now complete.
This condominium building in Cherrydale has been sitting in a partially completed since 2006 when Arlington County found structural violations. Now exterior brick work and windows have been completed and sidewalks repaired. The second phase will include interior work, exterior balconies and tree installation to bring the condominium to completion by Fall 2010. http://ht.ly/1Jitj
National Cathedral Flower Mart
The annual National Cathedral Flower Mart runs May 7th from 10-6 and May 8th from 10-5. This year’s festivities offer children’s rides and rock climbing, a bell tower climb, Ukrainian dancing and music, and many plant and craft vendors. For more information, click the website here.
2010 Walk for the Animals
Bluemont Park will be the site of the Animal Welfare League of Arlington’s 15th Annual Walk for the Animals to help homeless animals in our community. Join in for a one mile stroll or the three mile loop. Dogs may accompany their owners but for their safety, cats and other pets should be left at home. Registration begins at 8:30 and the walk kicks off at 9:30.
