Get Active at Arlington Mill Community Center

Arlington Mill Community Center at 909 S. Dinwiddie Street is a LEED Gold-certified, five-story community anchor on Columbia Pike featuring a full gymnasium, fitness rooms, game room, senior programs, job training, ESL classes, a lively outdoor plaza, and direct access to the Four Mile Run Trail.
Located at the intersection of Columbia Pike and Four Mile Run, Arlington Mill is one of the most intentionally designed community anchors in the entire county. The five-story facility was designed so that every space — from the open lobby atrium and game room to the teen lounge — encourages learning and community, with the game room.and teen lounge overlooking the full-size gymnasium below. It features a full-size gymnasium, multipurpose rooms, a multi-purpose court, a game room, a two-story parking garage, public access computers, and wireless internet throughout. The building achieved LEED Gold certification and incorporates a 36,500-gallon rainwater harvesting cistern and a vegetated green roof — a facility that takes its environmental footprint as seriously as its community programming.
What makes Arlington Mill genuinely special is its role as a true multicultural, multigenerational hub. From early childhood development to senior citizen programs, Arlington Mill was built to serve all Arlington residents, with a particular focus on those most in need of community resources — including ESL and citizenship classes, job training, and human services support that reflect the diverse fabric of the Columbia Pike corridor. The large outdoor plaza facing Columbia Pike can be reconfigured for performances, farmers markets, or casual gatherings, and the Four Mile Run Trail is directly accessible from the building’s rear.
