Clarendon Named Best Neighborhood for Millennials
Niche, Inc. released their Top 25 Cities and Neighborhoods for Millennials and ranked Washington DC #3 of the best places for young people to live in the United States, using more than a dozen factors as well as surveys of nearly 500,000 college students and recent grads. More specifically, they listed Clarendon as the best neighborhood in the DC area with 53% of the population between 25 and 34 years old, a median income of $108,312 and 86% having a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree, among other factors.

The US Army Blues and Army Strings Present Black History Month Tribute
The US Army Blues will be taming up with The US Army Orchestra and soloists from the Army Chorus, Downrange, and Army Voices for two performances in tribute of Black History Month. The performances will be held at Brucker Hall in Ft. Myer on Friday, February 21st, 2014 at 7:30 and Sunday, February 23rd at 3:00. Music from some of America’s most iconic African-American jazz composers and musicians, including Nat King Cole, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong and Billie Holiday will be performed as well as a world premiere of a jazz orchestra arrangement of a Freddie Hubbard composition and rarely heard works by James Reese Europe, a World War I bandleader.
