Ruthie’s All Day in South Arlington serves brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 9-3. Menu items include brisket hash, apple pie pancakes, deviled eggs, a fried chicken biscuit, and a grits and pulled pork bowl. Specialty cocktails include Bloody Marys and Aperol Spritzes. It has a wonderful outdoor patio and it’s great for lunch and dinner, too.

When the Summer heat gets to you, stay inside and watch a movie in a nice cool theatre. AMC Courthouse Plaza 8 offers 8 theaters and a variety of first run movies. Take the Metro or park in their underground parking garage.

I Theatre Company provides a fun and challenging summer theatre experience for high school students, college students, and community members. They combine a performance opportunity and an educational experience, presenting musical productions each summer that are ideal for children and adults of all ages.
The Arlington Players is a nonprofit, volunteer theater company. Their mission is “to produce epic and artistically challenging theatre by cultivating an environment of excellence and education for all of our members, volunteers, and audiences in the communities of Arlington County, VA and the greater DC area.” The Arlington Players (TAP) typically present one play and two musicals each season, with performances normally taking place at the Thomas Jefferson Theatre.
