#95 – Watch the Capitals Development Camp
Stay cool and inside while you watch top hockey prospects and recent draft picks on the ice for drills and scrimmages during the Capitals Development Camp held in Mid-July. All sessions are at the Medstar Capitals Iceplex at Ballston and are free and open to the public.
#94 – Come to the Annual Firefly Festival
The Annual Firefly Festival is held in June or July at Fort C.F. Smith. Bring a picnic and wait for the sun to go down and the fireflies to come out. Check the County’s Parks and Recreation site for this year’s date.
#93 – Visit the Ballston Arts & Crafts Market
The Ballston Arts & Crafts Market is held every Second Saturday from May-October from 10am-4pm in Welburn Square (The Ballston Circle) at Ballston Metro between N. Stuart and N. 9th Streets. They are a juried outdoor market for the exhibition and sale of original handmade art-and-craft items.
NOTE: The Ballston Arts & Crafts Market is no longer being held.
#92 – See a Production from The American Century Theatre
The American Century Theatre is a professional non-profit theatre company that performs at Gunston Theatre Two 2700 South Lang Street Arlington, VA. Their mission is “to promote 20th century theater as a vital part of our cultural dialogue.”

Come hear the US Army Blues at Washington-Lee High School during the Washington-Lee Summer Concert Series held in July and August. Check the U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own” event calendar for this year’s dates. All performances are FREE and open to the public.
