When the Summer heat gets to be too much, take the kids to Lyon Village, Hayes Park or Drew Playground Spray Park to cool off. Arlington’s four Spraygrounds and two interactive water parks are open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Check the website for hours as each sprayground is closed one day a week.

Market Tavern (formerly Harry’s Tap Room) in Clarendon offers a great selection including six kinds of Eggs Benedict, omelettes, french toast, steak and eggs as well as soups, salads and sandwiches. And don’t let the name fool you – this is a very family friendly place with a great kids menu.
It’s also a great place for dinner with an upstairs dining room, the Chophouse, specializing in steaks, chops and casseroles and the downstairs tavern with burgers, sandwiches, small plates, sharables, soups and salads. Both offer 26 beers on tap and 76 wines by the glass.

#79 – Join Lost Dog and Cat Rescue Foundation at their “Party at the Park”
The “Party at the Park” fundraising event from Lost Dog and Cat Rescue Foundation was held Saturday June 26th, 2010 from 2-8 with Live music, food, prizes, a beer and wine garden, lost dog adoption, and top dog contest. It may be an annual event, so watch for it again in June 2011. In the meantime, visit their website to see how you can help by volunteering, making donations, or adopting.

The Renegade in Clarendon is open from 11 am – 2 am Mondays-Saturdays and 11 am – 9 pm Sundays with live music on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. They are open for dine-in, patio service, takeout and delivery and also do catering and private events. Happy Hours occur every day from 4-7PM
