LA Bar and Grill on Columbia Pike (Lower Arlington) offers something special nearly every night of the week. Mondays are Pub Trivia Night, Tuesday is Dart League Night and their house specialty, “Hog Wings”, are $2 off from 4-8, get half price burgers on Wednesdays, Thursdays are acoustic open mic night, $5 Fridays offer selected appetizers and sides fro just $5 from 4-8 and Saturday is Karaoke Night. Also coming up on May 1, 2011 is the Top Dog Half Smoke Challenge where ten Chefs, including Domaso’s Paul Healey, The Source’s Scott Drewno, Liberty Tavern’s Liam LaCivita, and Jackson 20’s Dennis Marron, will compete by offering their own rendition of DC’s Half Smoke. All proceeds benefit Brain Food, an organization that teaches inner city kids cooking and life skills.

#110 – Enjoy the Rooftop at Don Tito
When nice weather arrives it’s nice to eat outside. Try the rooftop patio at Don Tito in Clarendon. Don Tito calls itself Arlington’s Taco/Tequila destination. In addition to their 3000 square foot patio space they have three levels of interior dining and offer weekend brunch Saturday and Sunday from 11-3, happy hour specials, dinner and late night dining menus.

#108 – Have Weekend Brunch at Ruthie’s All Day
Ruthie’s All Day in South Arlington serves brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 9-3. Menu items include brisket hash, apple pie pancakes, deviled eggs, a fried chicken biscuit, and a grits and pulled pork bowl. Specialty cocktails include Bloody Marys and Aperol Spritzes. It has a wonderful outdoor patio and it’s great for lunch and dinner, too.
