Don’t miss Tuckahoe’s Elementary School’s Annual Home and Garden Tour, an annual fundraiser to benefit the Tuckahoe Discovery Schoolyard, typically held in mid-late May. The Armed Forces Cycling Classic is held in early to mid-June featuring two full days of riding and racing from kids to top pros in Clarendon and Crystal City. You can sign up to ride or just come out to cheer them on.
Saturday will feature the Clarendon Cup, the Washington area’s premier Pro/Am races. High speed bike races will take place on a 1 kilometer course on city streets. There will be amateur races in the morning, followed by the women’s Pro/Am race and kids’ races, which begin at 11:35 a.m. The Men’s Pro race begins approximately 12:05 and is 100 laps.
On Sunday, races begin at 7:00am with a closed course open to cyclists of all abilities, the Air Force Association Cycling Classic’s Challenge Ride. All riders must be off the course by 10am.
Some of the top pros in the world will participate in the Men’s pro race, which will be gin immediately after the Challenge Ride. There will be kids’ races, women’s and senior men’s races later in the day.

Monday evenings from June through August the Crystal City BID presents free outdoor movies beginning at sundown on the Crystal Screen at the courtyard at 1851 Bell Street in Crystal City. You can dine at nearby restaurants before the show or bring your own picnic. Past years have had a Star Trek theme, SuperHeroes, James Bond movies and Clint Eastwood films.

Lee Height’s Cafe Colleen offers diners French-inspired cuisine and a great atmosphere to enjoy your meal. Cafe Colleen also features a modest outdoor dining area and weekend brunch service on Saturdays from 11:00am – 3:00pm.
An Italian restaurant in Rosslyn from Fabio Trabocchi, Sfoglina offers fine dining in a “luxe casual” setting. They offer indoor and outdoor seating and have a rooftop terrace for private events.
