#55 – Come to the Party at the Plaza
Enjoy dancing to live Salsa or Swing music and after-work drinks at “Party at the Plaza” in Rosslyn in front of the Rosslyn Spectrum Theatre every Wednesday in June and July from 5:30 – 8:00. The evening starts with a half hour dance lesson.
NOTE: The Party at the Plaza has not been held in recent years, but check Rosslyn BID’s website for other events at Central Place Plaza.
#50 – Learn the Tango at the Argentine Festival
Do you love watching Dancing With the Stars and wish you could do the Argentine Tango? Every year since 1988 there has been an Argentine Festival held at various locations in Arlington. For 2024, the 37th festival was held at Kenmore Middle School June 1st and featured Argentine food, crafts, tango lessons and contests.
#46 – Enjoy Live Music at B Live
B Live, a live music venue and restaurant with a Beach Bar on the roof opened in 2022 in the former Whitlow’s spot. They are serving brunch, happy hour and dinner.
#44 – Have a picnic and listen to music at Potomac Overlook Park
Starting in late May and every other Saturday through the summer Potomac Overlook Park has musical performances from local groups. There is no admission fee but donations of $5+ per person are requested to help fund the series.
NOTE: These concerts have not been held in recent years, but hopefully will return soon.
#43 – Check out the Beer Garden at Westover Market
#43 – The Beer Garden at Westover Market is open every day rotating six beers on tap and offering wi-fi and food all day every day. They now have outdoor televisions and are showing football games. It’s a great local place to hang out with neighbors and is surprisingly family friendly. They hope to offer live music again in 2022 with performers on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
