#112 – Dine at Domaso

EDITOR’S NOTE: THIS RESTAURANT IS NOW CLOSED
Enjoy a Northern Italian meal at Domaso in the Hotel Palomar in Rosslyn and overlooking Georgetown.
Coming up on March 10th, 2011 is their Dining Out for Life event. 25% of your bill will be donated to Food&Friends.
Also coming up on May 1, 2011 is the Top Dog Half Smoke Challenge where ten Chefs, including Domaso’s Paul Healey, The Source’s Scott Drewno, Liberty Tavern’s Liam LaCivita, and Jackson 20’s Dennis Marron, will compete by offering their own rendition of DC’s Half Smoke. All proceeds benefit Brain Food, an organization that teaches inner city kids cooking and life skills.

#110 – Enjoy the Rooftop at Don Tito
When nice weather arrives it’s nice to eat outside. Try the rooftop patio at Don Tito in Clarendon. Don Tito calls itself Arlington’s Taco/Tequila destination. In addition to their 3000 square foot patio space they have three levels of interior dining and offer weekend brunch Saturday and Sunday from 11-3, happy hour specials, dinner and late night dining menus.
NOTE: This post was originally for Eventide, which is now closed and has been replaced by Don Tito’s.
#108 – Have Weekend Brunch at Ruthie’s All Day
Ruthie’s All Day in South Arlington serves brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 9-3. Menu items include brisket hash, apple pie pancakes, deviled eggs, a fried chicken biscuit, and a grits and pulled pork bowl. Specialty cocktails include Bloody Marys and Aperol Spritzes. It has a wonderful outdoor patio and it’s great for lunch and dinner, too.
NOTE: This post was originally about Boulevard Woodgrill but since it has now closed I replaced it with one of my favorite new restaurants.
#104 – Check out a Wine Bar
UPDATE: The original post was about Twisted Vines which is now closed but there are other wine bars still open in Arlington. Try these Arlington wine bars instead:
