#215 – Go Shoe Shopping
Shoefly at 2727 Wilson Boulevard in Clarendon gets great reviews from its customers for “hip and funky” shoes. A previous winner from Washington Post Express for best indie shoe store, Shoefly has been nominated for an ABBIE award for Best Boutique.

Come to the Dominion Guild Open House
This year’s annual fundraiser, an Open House Boutiques and Coffee will be held Wednesday, October 27th, 2010 from 10am-4pm at the brand new Cathedral View townhomes at 2723 N. Glebe Road. Do your holiday shopping and help out a good cause. The Dominion Guild has been raising funds for over 20 years for distribution to qualifying projects and entities serving the Northern Virginia community. #196 – Check out the new boutique, Covet
Covet is a new art, jewelry and home decor gallery near Ballston. The shop, which just opened in May, has already been nominated for Best Boutique and Best New Business in the ABBIE Awards. Hours are Wed-Saturday from 10-5 and Sunday from 12-5. Thursday, October 21st they will be holding a Mad Men Cocktail Party from 7-10:30.
#193 – Shop at Casual Adventure for Camping, Hiking and Outdoor Gear
You can pick up your camping gear, scout uniforms, or other outdoor specialty items at Casual Adventure, a locally owned store on Washington Blvd. in the Clarendon/Virginia Square area that has been in operation since 1955.
Casual Adventure also accepts donations of warm clothing, footwear, gear and accessories for ASPAN, the Arlington Street People’s Assistance Network.
#187 – Come to a wine tasting at Best Cellars
Best Cellars wine shop in Clarendon hosts a wine tasting the second Tuesday of every month. This month’s tasting on October 12th features Portuguese wines. The store was founded on the premise that selecting a wine to fit your food or mood should be simple, easy and affordable. Most of their wines are designed for every day and are priced at $15 or less per bottle. They group the wines in eight distinct groupings including fizzy, sweet, big, juicy, fresh, soft, luscious and smooth. They also may include higher priced wines that are particularly good values.
