Believe it or not, there is ONE store in Arlington you can find all these things and more. It’s Ayers Variety and Hardware at Westover, an Arlington institution since 1947.

Ballston Arts and Crafts MarketThe Ballston Arts & Crafts Market is held every Second Saturday from May-October from 10am-4pm in Welburn Square (The Ballston Circle) at Ballston Metro between N. Stuart and N. 9th Streets.  They are a juried outdoor market for the exhibition and sale of original handmade art-and-craft items.

NOTE:  The Ballston Arts & Crafts Market is no longer being held.

Besides the shop, which has a large selection of footwear, apparel, and accessories, they have clinics, injury assessments, training programs, fun runs and races throughout the year.  Pacers Arlington was recently awarded the “Best Customer Service” award by Arlington County among all county businesses and was tops in the mid-Atlantic region among running specialty stores by the Independent Running Retailers Association.
