#344 – Go see the Harlem Wizards
It’s time for March Madness and there are plenty of opportunities to watch college basketball. But if that’s not enough, there is another opportunity to see basketball this month. The Harlem Wizards will be bringing their comedic routine of tricks, hoops and alley oops to Thomas Jefferson Community Center on Friday, March 25th, 2011 from 7-9 PM in a basketball game against the Arlington Elite.
#340 – Come to the Green Living Expo
Arlington has been holding an annual Green Living Expo in March or April. The event is family friendly and free to the public. For 2014, the event will be held April 26th from 10-4 at Founders Hall at the George Mason Arlington campus. #334 – Dine Out. Fight Aids.
Participate in DC Dining Out for Life on Thursday, March 10th, 2011. Participating restaurants will donate from 25-110% of your bill to Food & Friends which prepares, packages and delivers meals and groceries to more than 2,800 people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-challenging illnesses throughout the Washington metropolitan area. Arlington Restaurants participating in the program include Carlyle in Shirlington, which is a sponsor, Santa Fe Cafe (which will donate 50% of the bill), Freddie’s Beach Bar (110%), Delhi Club (35%), Thaiphoon (25%), Busboys and Poets (35%), Luna Grill (35%), Domaso (25%) and Guapo (25%).
#333 – Check out the DC Antique Photo Show
This annual event will be held from 11-4 Sunday, March 13th, 2011 at the Holiday Inn in Rosslyn. Admission is $10 with free parking. There will be 50 tables of CDVs, stereoviews, dagguerotypes and photographs and other antique photo imagery for sale. For more information, visit the website here.

Clarendon-Courthouse Mardi Gras Parade
One of Arlington’s big annual events is the Clarendon-Courthouse Mardi Gras parade held on Fat Tuesday every year. For 2015, the parade will be on Tuesday, February 17th beginning at 8 PM. The parade route runs down Wilson Blvd. from N. Barton Street to Washington Boulevard. A pre-parade party will be held outside Bayou Bakery beginning at 6.
