The Arlington Players is a nonprofit, volunteer theater company. Their mission is “to produce epic and artistically challenging theatre by cultivating an environment of excellence and education for all of our members, volunteers, and audiences in the communities of Arlington County, VA and the greater DC area.” The Arlington Players (TAP) typically present one play and two musicals each season, with performances normally taking place at the Thomas Jefferson Theatre.

Kick off Signature Theatre’s season at the Signature Target Open House typically held in mid-July from noon to 10 PM. Free performances are held every 15 minutes on four stages both inside and out on the plaza in Shirlington Village. This is a full day filled with free entertainment for the entire family.

#60 – Watch Free Outdoor Movies on the Crystal Screen
Monday evenings from June through August the Crystal City BID presents free outdoor movies beginning at sundown on the Crystal Screen at the courtyard at 1851 Bell Street in Crystal City. You can dine at nearby restaurants before the show or bring your own picnic. Past years have had a Star Trek theme, SuperHeroes, James Bond movies and Clint Eastwood films.
