#303- Check out Matsutake Restaurant in Ballston

February 5, 2011 by Elizabeth

Hibachi-style grill at EdenH

Matsutake is a Japanese Steak House and Sushi Bar in Ballston.  We love to go here for special occasions to sit around the hibachi grill and watch the Japanese chefs at work, throwing knives, making flaming volcanoes out of onions, cracking eggs in the air, and other entertaining tricks. You can also order from their sushi bar.

NOTE:  Matsutake is now closed.

Sean Connaughton, Virginia’s Secretary of Transportation has announced that Virginia is scaling back a project to add High Occupancy Toll (HOT) lanes to I-95/I-395.  The lanes will still begin in Stafford County as planned, but they will now end at the Beltway in Fairfax County, well before the Arlington County line.  Arlington County officials are celebrating the change and the planned in-depth environmental study which came as a result of a lawsuit filed by the County to prevent the HOT lanes.
